Comic and writer Alex Barnett is the White, Jewish husband of a Black woman (who converted to Judaism) and the father of a 6-year-old, Biracial son. Join him and his guests each episode as they discuss the issues that confront multiracial people and multiracial families (including the dynamics between members of the same family who are of different races).

Within the Multiracial Community, Alex is active as a performer and advocate.  Alex was a featured performer at the 2012 New Orleans Loving Festival, the 2015 Mixed-Remixed Festival in Los Angeles, and the 2016 Blend Conference at Cornell University.

Alex is the co-founder of Multiracial Media (http://multiracialmedia.com/) a website that showcases the voices of the Multiracial Community.

Alex also is the co-creator of the comic strip, The Bronze Panther, about a four-year-old, biracial superhero.

Alex has performed at clubs, colleges and venues throughout the country.  He's appeared on the Katie Couric Show, been featured on Sirius/XM Radio’s “Raw Dog Comedy,” and NBC’s EVB Live, and in VH1.com, The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, and CNN.com.

Ep. 24: Garcelle Beauvais is known for her work on the Jamie Foxx Show, NYPD Blue, and Franklin & Bash, but outside of her acting work, Garcelle (a mother to 3 sons, including a set of twin multiracial sons), along with co-author Sebastian A. Jones, has penned the I Am . . . children's book series, including the first book, I Am Mixed, which features a set of fraternal multiracial twins (Jay and Nia). In addition to her tv roles, Garcelle has been active in the movies, including her roles in American Gun, with Forrest Whitaker, Marcia Gay Harden and Donald Sutherland; Women in Trouble with Simon Baker and Josh Brolin; Barbershop 2: Back in Business, with Queen Latifah; and Bad Company, opposite Chris Rock and Anthony Hopkins. Garcelle also shot the short film Eyes to See, which focuses on the Haiti earthquake, inspired by the writer/director’s personal involvement with the Haitian relief effort right after tragedy.

Garcelle also is active in community outreach and charitable giving.  She supports the Step Up Women’s Network, a national non-profit that empowers women and girls to be strong and reach their full potential. She is also active with March of Dimes, Children Uniting Nations, and Yele Haiti Foundation.
